Zabriskie wins seventh US pro Time Trial title
Garmin-Barracuda rider David Zabriskie won his seventh USA Cycling national pro
time trial title on Saturday ahead of BMC's Tejay van Garderen.
Zabriskie clocked 40min 41.44 sec over the 33.3km course to retain his
title. Ten days earlier, he won the individual time trial stage of the
Tour of California.
Van Garderen was second in 40:47.90 and Brent Bookwalter third in
41:08.06. Zabriskie, 33, won his first national time trial title in
2004. He won four in a row from 2006-2009 and added a sixth title last
year. Thirty-five riders tackled the course at Clemson University's International Center for Automotive Research.
