LATEST NEWS: FIRST LOOK: 3T INTEGRA STEM
May 3, 2012

We’ve recently seen a flurry of Garmin mounts from SRAM, K-Edge and Bar Fly that attach to the handlebars and extend the head unit out in front of the stem, similarly to an SRM mount. 3T components is now taking it a step further; in a joint partnership with Garmin and the Garmin-Barracuda team, 3T has integrated a Garmin Edge mount into an all-new, full-carbon stem called Integra. The 3T Integra is the first stem we’ve seen with full integration between computer mount and stem. The integration allows for a cleaner looking stem/Garmin mount, but also provides improved aerodynamics—something Garmin-Barracuda will appreciate when select riders use the Integra stem in the Giro d’Italia, which starts on Saturday.

Stan Brajer, Director of Fitness Sales and Marketing at Garmin, said “With the new 3T Integra stem, we're excited to see the Garmin Edge become an even more central part of the bike. It will give cyclists an even better view of their ride data and we're looking forward to seeing it in action with Team Garmin at the upcoming Giro.”

The Integra stem will initially be available in just one length, 110mm, but the range will eventually expand to offer lengths from 90-120mm. According to 3T, a 110mm Integra stem weighs just 135 grams, and will cost $365. The Integra should be available at dealers by early June.
