LATEST NEWS: TIBCO HEADS TO BOISE
July 13, 2012

A six-rider Team TIBCO squad is slated to race the 26th Annual Exergy Twilight Criterium in Downtown Boise tomorrow as they go head to head against several of the top domestic and international women in the sport. The top-level race is part of the National Criterium Calendar and the USA Crit Championship Series.

The Team will include U.S. National Road Champion Megan Guarnier and U23 National Criterium and Road Champion Samantha Schneider. National Madison Track Champion Lauren Hall will be joined by teammates Amanda Miller, Lindsay Myers and Team Captain Meredith Miller, who recently finished on the podium in the U.S. Short Track Cross Country Mountain Bike National Championship race.

“After the Team’s success at Nationals, coming home with 11 podium finishes including 7 gold medals, we are ready to continue racing and bring home more victories,” said Team TIBCO European directeur sportif Angela van Smoorenburg. “The Team will aim to race aggressively, and we have several riders who can initiate a breakaway or contend a bunch sprint.”

The Professional Women’s Race starts at 7p.m. Saturday and will take riders through a four-cornered, fast-paced circuit for one hour of racing. The course runs through Downtown Boise south on 9th St., west on Grove, north on 10th St., east on Bannock, with the finish line on 9th street after a long straightaway.
