Chef Chris Cosentino’s unique recipe for a perfect Napa weekend is ready to serve: announcing CampoVelo Napa Valley, a three-day event combining unforgettable cycling, incredible food and exceptional libations. With the brand new Las Alcobas Hotel and his Acacia House restaurant in Saint Helena serving as homebase, CampoVelo Napa Valley is set to showcase the very best of Napa in a way only Chris Cosentino could.

“CampoVelo Napa Valley will embody the spirit of good living and adventure, a culinary bacchanal on two wheels,” Chef Cosentino said. “We’ll provide all the ingredients to create your own special experience, be it on the bike cresting a mountain, in the kitchen exploring flavors and technique with talented chefs, relaxing during a spa treatment or talking with viticulturists.”

The weekend kicks off in St. Helena on Friday afternoon with an easy “spin out” ride featuring professional cyclists and guest chefs at Clif Family Winery, followed by wine-tastings and a welcome reception in the afternoon.

Saturday will be filled with a curated selection of rides exploring as much or as little of the Napa Valley as participants would like. Riding will be followed by relaxation and a market expo with culinary presentations by noted chefs Seamus Mullen and Jeff Mahin at St. Helena’s Brasswood Cellars. Wine and beer tastings, bike maintenance and demo rides lead into dinner.

Sunday sees the weekend culminate with a big ride, offering a variety of route options to choose from, followed by a “Pigs, Pizza & Paella” lunch to be held at the iconic Charles Krug Winery, a staple in the Napa Valley wine industry for 150 years.

Each night guests can choose from special dinner events or enjoy one of Napa Valley’s many world-class restaurants.

And what’s more, supports good cause. With the mantra to “do good, one pedal stroke at a time” CampoVelo will benefit Chefs Cycle, a No Kid Hungry program, the Napa County Bicycle Coalition and the Napa Valley Vine Trail.

Other partners include Las Alcobas Napa Valley, Clif Family Winery, Charles Krug Winery, Brasswood Cellars, First Republic Bank, Harvest Inn, Gott’s Roadside, Dude Girl, Giant Bicycles and St. Helena Chamber of Commerce.
