Start: Pau

The city of Henri IV has welcomed the race in style, 65 times which puts it on the podium with Paris and Bordeaux as the most visited cities of the Tour. For the last two finishes that took place there, the Bearn area found itself a prince. Indeed Pierrick Fedrigo became one of the very few riders to manage a double in Pau. In 2010, he triumphed in the stage that took the pack on the course of the first mountain stage in the Pyrenees a century earlier. Two years later, he captured another win after again being part of a successful breakaway.

In 2008, he indeed captured the race leadership for the very first time with a 1sec advantage over Fr„nk Schleck. That first experience in yellow was only to last five days for the Australian, troubled by an injury.
