Big surprises as big names make big transfers

Expect to be watching a few of your favorite riders in new colors at the start of the 2020 WorldTour season. Big name transfers have affected nearly every team in the WorldTour. Of all the big-name transfers, the most surprising has to be that of Italian sprinter Elia Viviani leaving the all-powerful Deceunink Quickstep squad for the far-less-powerful French Cofidis Squad.  Another Italian, Vincenzo Nibali, is making his move from Bahrain to Trek’s Wisconsin based squad. Movistar’s climbing trio is disbanding as well. Nairo Quintana is headed to Arkea Samsic, Mikkel Landa is set to replace Nibali at Bahrain and 2019 Giro winner Richard Carapaz signed a deal with Ineos.  Our list below is updated regularly with big-name transfers.
