Allied Cycle Works has announced Echo, their second bike following the release of Alfa in February. The full-custom carbon Echo will have a wide array of geometry options with a 60-day delivery guarantee and a price far lower than current offerings. At $3,800 for the frameset, the custom carbon Echo comes in at a price that has only been achieved in the custom world with steel and titanium, until now.
Echo’s custom, tube-to-tube construction will take place at Allied’s Little Rock, Arkansas, facility, where everything from design to construction to testing to paint is all done under one roof. Benefitting from Allied’s larger scale production, the Echo is able to come in at $3,800 for the frameset, a price unheard of in the custom market for a composite frameset.
Using American-sourced Mitsubishi MR60H intermediate modulus and HR40 high modulus carbon fiber, each frame begins with an eight-piece, carefully mitered custom kit that is first bonded together then wrapped with perfectly placed sheets of carbon and finally vacuum cured. The process creates an 800-gram, ultra high-performance frame that’s optimized for any fit.
“Our monocoque composite frame Alfa generated a lot of excitement and we feel the Echo will be the answer for those wanting a fully custom frame option,” said Founder and Managing Director Tony Karklins. “We’re proving it’s possible to offer a bike that’s competitive with best in class for performance and price, all while being designed and built entirely under one roof here in the US.”
Orders are made through the Allied Cycle Works website where a fit form is submitted. Then, customers can use the online configurator to choose the components they want in order to fully personalize their Echo Once the fit form has been signed off on, the Echo is guaranteed to arrive at the customer’s door within 60 days.

Allied Cycle Works’ ethos of ‘Made Here’ isn’t just a slogan, it’s the differentiator from the vast number of brands that have lost their souls by outsourcing almost every step of bicycle development and construction. US manufacturing in HIA Velo’s Arkansas, facility is what the company believes in, because it simply makes sense.
