Oregon-based custom carbon manufacturer Argonaut Cycles has simplified their custom build process with the introduction of the Argonaut Bike Builder. The Bike Builder is an online tool through the Argonaut website, allowing customers to build, paint and design their ideal bike from home. In addition to dialing in the bike specs, the new Bike Builder prompts customers to fill out the rider survey, giving the Argonaut team information needed to plot the appropriate lay-up and sizing of the frame. This information can be sent directly to Argonaut to reserve a spot in the build queue, or to an authorized Argonaut dealer.
Ben Farver, owner of Argonaut Cycles, says, “The bike builder tool on our website is intended to be a conversation starter about what your Argonaut might look like. Building a custom bike can be an intimidating process to start given the number of variables and complexity. Our bike builder is intended to break down some of those initial barriers, and allow people to visualize what their perfect bike might look like.”
About Argonaut Cycles:
Ben Farver of Argonaut began making steel frames in Portland OR in 2007. In 2011 Farver switched materials and started building custom carbon fiber frames made by hand in the USA. Argonaut controls every step of the process making the tooling, as well as the frame parts themselves in the USA. Argonaut has won several Best Lay Up awards as well as Best In Show at NAHBS 2014, (North American Hand Built Bicycle Show) becoming the first carbon builder to receive this prestigious award. Relocating to Bend, Oregon earlier this year, Argonaut continues to grow and innovate.
