Bern Unlimited FL-1 Pave Helmet Features BOA Adjustment

Bern Unlimited has been offering helmets for a variety of sports since 2004, but they have just released their newest line with a more traditional road design. The FL-1 line of helmets has three different models (Pave, XC and Trail), with the Pave targeted for the road market. Bern says the FL-1 Pave design was inspired by the original leather Tour de France helmets but with the latest in helmet safety innovations and protection. Bern’s In-Mold chassis is comprised of a polycarbonate micro shell lined with EPS foam to create a lightweight helmet. The shell is lined with MIPS for added protection and the BOA Velo retention system that offers 360 degrees of adjustments.

The retention system from BOA gives 360 degrees of adjustment with three vertical positions available as well.

The Pave is offered in three sizes with or without MIPS (S 52-55.5 cm, M 55.5-59cm and L 59-62cm) and has a claimed weight of only 248 grams for the non-MIPS version, with the MIPS equipped version at 288 grams. There are four color options: matte black, satin dark silver, gloss white and matte royal blue. The non-MIPS version will retail for $99.99 while the MIPS equipped version will be $119.99. Availability for the entire line will be summer 2017 with a few options available now.
