Revel is assuredly one of the few bike brands we’ve dealt with that boasts of having roots in “The Last Frontier” (aka Alaska). Appropriately enough for the local environs, the Rover gravel bike has tire clearance for up to a 50mm tread and is available as a frameset ($2400) or as a complete build.

The Rover is available in five sizes, and all three complete builds roll on Industry Nine wheels mounted with Maxxis Rambler tires. Revel bikes are the creation of the same people behind the Why Cycles titanium bike brand.

A few highlights that put the Rover above others is the fact that it uses a BSA 68mm English threaded bottom bracket and has internal cable routing for a dropper. The drastic asymmetric chainstays are also a highlight. Choose between the three builds, SRAM Rival kit ($3999), a Shimano GRX kit ($4600) or a SRAM Red kit ($8199).
