First Look: Franco Latigo RS1-D

Franco adopts the future with their new disc brake machine

We were quite excited when Franco dropped off their all new Latigo RS1-D to our office which will be one of our next test bikes for an upcoming Road Bike Action magazine.

Quite possibly the main reason why we love this bike so much is that it is actually manufactured in Northern Italy, utilizing Torayca’s top-of-the-line MJ series carbon. It isn’t made in Asia and then shipped to Italy where a “made in Italy” sticker is applied which is how some other bicycle manufactures go about it.

The Latigo RS1-D is available with their customizable, personal made to order process. With their build to order process Franco says they “don’t have to add hover bars to our bike, or shock absorbers to the head tube.”
