FIRST LOOK: GREG VAN AVERMAET’S BMC TEAMMACHINE

The Olympic champ gets a new bike to roll on

BMC just dropped us a quick note to show-off Olympic champion Greg Van Avermaet’s latest ride – his second generation of the vaunted Teammachine SLR01, only now with a celebratory  golden cockpit and top tube as a tribute to his Olympic title.

The parts spec includes: Campagnolo EPS Super Record drivetrain with Campagnolo Bora WTO wheels mounted with Pirelli tires, Look pedals and a Fizik saddle.

60mm-deep Campagnolo Bora WTO carbon wheels give the Teammachine an aerodynamic edge.

BMC’s Teammachine SLR01 frame has clearance for up to 30mm tires.

The one-piece carbon cockpit enhances the clean aesthetic of the golden highlights.

The internally-routed design of the one-piece bar/stem efficiently hides shift cable and hydraulic lines.

The classy double-curve design of the Super Record shifters oozes style points.
