First Look: Team Ineos Pinarello F12 X-Lite

New team colors and an X-lite designation

With today’s announcement that the fabled Team Ineos  as entered a new era  where they will be known as the “Ineos Grenadiers” a  heavily hyped Tour de France  co-promotion of the new Ineos Grenadier 4×4 SUV, the team also rolled out a new  version of the race winning Pinarello Dogma F12 dubbed the X-lite. Unfortunately, aside from plenty of photos,  there was no information available about the XLite designation.

As is tradition, the Dogma relies on an asymmetrical frame design made with Torayca T1100 1K Dream Carbon with Nanoalloy Technology.

While the Grenadiers continue to eschew the modern braking performance offered with disc brakes, they are all about modernity when it come to their drivetrain spec – Shimano Di2 Dura Ace.

Pinarello touts the aero performance & gains of their one-piece Talon bar/stem combo. Incredibly, there are 16 different sizes of the  handlebar/stem  combo that, when combined with the 13 available frame sizes leaves you with a potential 208 different combinations.

Shimano Dura Ace hoops mounted with Continental rubber. The Pinarello Fork Flap remains. The Dogma has room for up to 28mm rubber.

Rest assured that Pinarello is making the new F12 available with modern brakes. Whew!

In addition to the wide range of 13 frame sizes, the lads in Treviso are also making available a plethora of color choices from wild to muted.
