Fizik Sponsors Seven WorldTour Teams

Press Release

Here is Fizik’s 2017 roster of pro teams:

Spanish Movistar Team, UCI ranked 1 in 2016, will continue with fi’zi:k saddles on their Canyons. Thanks to almost 150 victories, and 1.5 million kilometers raced in five campaigns, Movistar Team has maintained the status it has held since its foundation in 1980 as the team to beat in the international peloton. The 2016 season saw Nairo Quintana stand on top of the final podium of La Vuelta a España.

UCI ranked 3 UK-based Team Sky will continue running fi’zi:k saddles on their Pinarellos. Team Sky has competed in the UCI World Tour since 2010 with great success, not least in the Grand Tours. In 2013, 2015 and 2016 Chris Froome stood on top step of the podium of the Tour de France.

BMC Racing Team (UCI ranked 4) is a United States-registered UCI WorldTour team sponsored by BMC Switzerland. Driven by a passion for cycling and desire to be the best cycling team in the world, BMC Racing Team has recorded 30+ wins per season since 2013 and is home to some of the greatest cyclists in the world, from one day classic specialists to grand tour contenders, and continue using fi’zi:k saddles in 2017.

Cannondale-Drapac (UCI ranked 8) will also use fi’zi:k bar:tape along with their fi’zi:k saddles. Although Cannondale-Drapac may be the youngest WorldTour team, with an average age of 26, its riders have scored enviable results over the team’s ten-year history. Most notably, winning stages at every Grand Tour, Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico, the overall classification at the Giro d’Italia, Criterium du Dauphiné, Tour of Missouri, the Tour of Utah, the USA Pro Challenge, Tour of Alberta and three monuments – Paris-Roubaix, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Il Lombardia.

From France there’s FDJ (winner of the 2016 Milan-San Remo with Arnaud Démare) running fi’zi:k saddles on their Lapierres. Founded in 1997, the UCI WorldTour cycling team gained its pro-tour license in 2012 and is predominantly composed of French riders. Since its inception the team has won 22 Grand Tour stages and in 2014 FDJ won the red jersey at the Giro d’Italia with Nacer Bouhanni, winner of three stages and leader of the points classification. A prestigious result came at the 2014 Tour de France, with third place overall for the French rider Thibaut Pinot. Discover More

Rounding out the 2017 top flight is the first African WorldTour team, Dimension Data, winner of five stages at the 2016 TdF with Mark Cavendish and Steve Cummings, sitting pretty with fi’zi:k saddles on their Cervélos. Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka was founded in 2007, steadily working its way up from a regional team to now being a WorldTour team with bases in South Africa and Italy. It’s also known as Africa’s Team due to its focus on helping African talent to the world stage of cycling. The team races to raise funds for the Qhubeka Charity to mobilize people on bicycles in Africa.

Outside of the WorldTour, fi’zi:k’s sponsorship of road teams extends to the Pro Continental and Continental levels of men and women’s racing: Aqua Blue Sport, Team Armee de Terre, Team JLT Condor, Team Wiggins and FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope.
