Last night I had a problem with my back and I couldn’t move,” said Chavanel. “I had to call the osteopath. So I am a lot happier today. I’m a lot stronger.”

The 29-year old rider from Chatellerault is one of the most popular riders in France and after Stage 18 of the Tour shocked the French public by announcing a two-year deal with the Team Quick-Step of Belgium.
