French Gravel: The Latest From Look & Corima

A limited edition Dirty Kanza package

No pun intended, but it looks like  legacy French bike brand Look is heading deeper down the gravel road with the introduction  of a new, and very limited  765 RS  Dirty Kanza edition gravel bike along with a new set of their carbon gravel hoops from Corima.

Sharing the frame of the standard 765 RS that’s been in production since last year, the DK special has its own colorway and is spec’d with SRAM’s brand new Force AXS Wide drivetrain and the  new 35mm deep WS Black Corima wheels.

Only eight of these limited edition bikes will be made available so if you’ve got an extra $8,000 ready to spend on a new bike, this could be your chance. All you need to do is hook up with your local Look dealer asap and let them know that you are all about the DK special.

Our 765 RS test bike weighed under 20 pounds and was a great dual-purpose value priced a $4500. If you want to read up on the bike, here’s the review of the Look 765RS from last year.

Look’s first foray into the gravel scene came last year with the  imprerssive first-edition of the 765 RS – it was one of our favorite gravel bikes we tested.

In addition to the dropped drive-side chainstay, the production bike to come later in the year will be available with the new SRAM Force AXS wide gearing  with a 43/30 chainring combo mated to a 10-36 cassette.

The bigger the rubber means not a lot of tire clearance. We ran 40mm tires on our test bike with no problem.

Corima’s G30.5 is a gravel and all-road focused carbon wheelset. A 21mm internally-wide hookless rim is designed around a base of a 35mm  deep tubeless rim.

Corima includes their proprietary rim tape to complete the tubeless ready system. In-line with the latest tubeless carbon rim tech, Corima used a hookless bead design similar to the latest releases from Zipp and Enve.
