Emma Norsgaard edged out Coryn Rivera and Marianne Vos to win the longest stage of the Giro Donne. Stage 6 featured a 96 mile course that was mostly led by a breakaway. With 8 miles to go the breakaway was caught and the sprinters began positioning themselves for the finale in Colico. Coryn Rivera led the charge to the line but was beat out by Emma Norsgaard who earned her second podium in the last two days.

“It couldn’t have gone better. I thank the team who did a wonderful job, it is the result of an excellent team work. I really like the Giro, the goal for the next few days is to hit another victory or at least another podium.” Norsgaard said.

Overall leader Anna van der Breggen retained the her lead.
