GIRO D’ITALIA STAGE 1 COURSE PREVIEW

Kicking off the 2021 Giro d’Italia is a quick 5.5 mile time trial around and over the River Po in Turin. Time trial world champion Filippo Ganna will have a chance to impress home country crowds, While Remy Cavagna, Remco Evenepoel and hour-record holder Victor Campenaerts are the other favored riders.

COURSE INFO

A short ITT on urban roads around the Po. Starting from Piazza Castello, the route runs along the river all the way to and across the Parco del Valentino on undulating roads (intermediate time recording at the Borgo Medievale), crosses the Po and homes in on Corso Moncalieri. When leaving the Parco del Valentino, the route passes through a short and well-lit tunnel.
