Following Life Time’s announcement of a 6-race series of gravel and MTB events with the largest prize purse of the year up for grabs, FloSports stepped-up to provide live coverage of each race beginning with the Sea Otter Classic XC mountain bike race in Monterey, California, this Saturday, April 9.
30 women and 30 men will face off across six events for a $250,000, equally-split prize purse. The $250,000 prize purse will pay out ten-deep based on overall series results, which are determined by a points-based ranking system. First place will earn $25,000, second place will earn $20,000, third place will receive $16,000, and so forth.
“The ultimate goal of the Life Time Grand Prix is to increase fandom of cycling as a sport in the United States,” said Kimo Seymour, President of Media and Events at Life Time. “Making six of our most highly regarded events accessible through an experienced broadcasting partner is key to bringing this vision to life and we’re stoked to provide real-time updates at each Grand Prix event to new – and longtime – fans alike through FloBikes.”
Currently, a FloBikes subscription costs $150 for a full year of streaming, which comes down to $12.50 a month, there is no monthly subscription option.
Other live programming available on FloBikes includes WorldTour races such as the Tour Down Under, Paris-Nice, Paris-Roubaix, Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne, Women’s WorldTours including La Course by Le Tour de France and Madrid Challenge by La Vuelta as well as Asian/European Tours such as the Tour of Oman, Tour de Hongrie and Paris-Tours.
