LA VUELTA A ESPANA 2021 STAGE 10 PREVIEW

La Vuelta a Espana stage 10 is set to take the peloton 117 miles between Roquetas de Mar  and Rincón de la Victoria. Spain’s southern coast will play the host as riders navigate seaside highways and canyon passes. Riders will face the final climb up the 6-mile-long 5-percent-gradient of the Almachar pass which peaks with 9 miles to go. A decisive descent to the finish will showcase the rider’s technical abilities.

Race Director’s Comments

“Completely flat stage, except for the final stretch. If a successful breakaway takes place, it will make the leaders’ teams and sprinters work hard. The Almáchar mountain pass (a 2nd category climb) is located 9 miles before the end of the stage and will make the riders descend very quickly towards the finish-line at Rincón de la Victoria”
