Specialized had a soft release of this bike back in the summer but now its official. The New Tarmac Disc is available with lots of improvements over a bike that was already an amazing and proven race machine. The frame is aero-optimized but not an “aero bike” leaving it more aerodynamic than the original Venge.

Read the full scoop here on this beautiful machine.

Building on the success of the cromovelata finishes on the Cento10AIR and Cento10AIR Disc, Wilier Triestina has released a limited edition version of their classic climbing bike, with a chromed silver and black finish.

The Zero.7 Night Chrome Edition is available as a frameset only in the USA, in seriously limited quantities. Pre-orders are being accepted now with delivery in July. The retail price is $5299.

The cromovelato finish was brought to the Cento10AIR road bike last year, tying Wilier’s history to its modern day race machines. The success of that bicycle has shown the demand for these immaculately finished hand painted masterpieces.

The Mosaic RT-2 small batch frame program was developed to blend handcrafted quality with exceptional value while being able to deliver a well-finished product in a quick, timely manner. Mosaic’s commitment to small batch building methods allows precision fabrication and artistic dedication to be their calling card found in every RT-2 frame. Through this program, Mosaic Cycles is offering a reduced wait time of three weeks on these new ‘ready to deliver’ stock framesets.

“We’re excited to offer the RT-2 in a small batch stock configuration as it allows us to lowers the barrier to entry to a high quality, handbuilt in the USA titanium bicycle,” said Aaron Barcheck, founder of Mosaic Cycles. “We’ve worked with a handful of our retail partners to dial in the geometry and parts specifications to be in line with their current product line-up and offer an alternative to a mass-market production bicycle.”

It’s the start of spring in Belgium; that means cold weather and hard racing.  Taking on the spring classics isn’t for the feint of heart, nor the weak of spirit.  It’s been a hard row to hoe for our first outings in the old country this season, but the boys are giving it a go and making strides with each frigid cobbled course they assail.  We’ve had a few crashes, but the men are fighting through the rough patches and keep bringing the heat at every race, even if it’s freezing.  This weekend the men take on Ronde Van Drenthe, a tough flat race that features pave sections and intermediate sprints around the city of Drenthe.

Off the road this past week, week Rushlee Buchanan brought home bronze in the women’s Omnium competition at the UCI Track World Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.  Read about it here.

Southern California’s Favorite Granfondo has all new routes, starting with a
Traditional Mass Start in Little Italy – Downtown. The 100 mile route now features a clockwise route covering much of the Famous Great Western Loop.
A Gran Fondo is meant to make an everyday rider feel like a fully supported professional rider, and the Campagnolo Gran Fondo San Diego does so with true Italian panache. Riders line up under the iconic “Little Italy” sign in downtown San Diego, where professional announcers call up cycling celebrities and an impressive procession of Ferraris leads out the peloton. World-class Campy mechanics provide on-course assistance and the event culminates on San Diego’s waterfront with finisher medals, free massage, beer garden, and a four-course Italian feast. This year the Cycling, Health and Wellness Expo is featuring cycling clinics and speakers from local cycling advocacy groups, clubs and supported charities.
