We look back at the first week of the Italian Grand Tour

Tom Dumoulin (NED – Team Sunweb) started the Giro off by the way he finished last year, taking victory in the 9.7 km time trial.

Simon Yates (GBR – Mitchelton – Scott) moved into the pink jersey after his second place finish on Mt. Etna.
The seventh stage started with a beautiful departure along the coast.
Sam Bennett (IRL – Bora – Hansgrohe) was able to finally score his first grand tour victory.
