RBA’s Friday Five Revue

“Friday Five Product Revue” is our weekly roundup of new bikes and products that have made their way through the doors of RBA headquarters or have simply caught our eye. Many will be featured in upcoming issues of Road Bike Action magazine, so be sure to subscribe!

Helmet protection has been dialed in by Lazer Sport. The Z1 helmet is not only the premium helmet of their offering, but also the lightest. Unlike any other helmet, the Lazer is tightened by a dial on the top of the helmet and snugged around your head by their Advanced Rollsys system. 31 vents keep your head cool in one of the three sizes available. Lazersport.com has more info on Belgium’s leading helmet brand.

The G. Stilo is Gaerne’s top of the line shoe from the Italian shoe manufacturer. Only one of the few remaining shoe companies that still hand builds their product in Italy, Gaerne takes pride in their craftsmanship. This model is made from a premium microfiber upper and a fully carbon sole. Two Boa IP-1 dials and one velcro strap highlight the upper for a glove like fit. Head over to www.gaerneshoes.com to find out more about their product line.

Aero dynamic and comfort is the name of the game for custom cycling apparel maker Bio Racer. From making some of the fastest skin suits to making custom kits for the average joe, Bio Racer is committed to delivering high end clothing. All of their products use their high end chamois that has gone through much vigorous testing along with their take on the most aero and comfortable fabrics. Learn more about the brand and their clothing at www.bioracer.be.

Grip Grab is a brand with strong roots in the European market. Founded in 2000, the company set out to make long lasting cycling accessories within five categories; gloves, shoe covers, arm and leg warmers, socks, and cycling caps. Their newest product from Grip Grab is their Aero TT gloves, a sleek half finger glove with their own Doctor Gel in the palm of the glove. Grip Grab will be coming to the US soon, so head over to www.gripgrab.com to check it out!

Another Belgian company to round out this weeks Friday Five is by the nutrition company Performance. Their Karbo Lyn drink mix is now available in a blood orange flavor and is made for endurance athletes to keep energy levels at an optimum level. The complex carbohydrate is made to pass through the body quicker than sugars or glucose. www.performance.be has all you need to know about their extensive product line.

Now here’s your chance to win a prize package from the RBA office’s schwag pile.
