The 2017 Vault frameset has come full circle with a few new updates mostly to the front end. An all new, full carbon, taper-steerer fork, with an oversized crown and Shimano’s new flat mount brake mount. For lighter weight and handling accuracy, the fork dropouts have been upgraded to a 12X100mm thru axle design and greatly increased tire clearance, up to 48C tires on a 700c wheel. The frame also includes internal cable routing compatible with both Di2 and traditional, mechanical shifting systems. A BB386EVO bottom bracket substantially increases torsional rigidity, strength and power transfer, while providing increased rear tire clearance.
The Pivot Vault is a competition-ready cyclocross machine that eagerly doubles as your all-season on any road bike. “Dropbar bikes are evolving as fast as mountain bikes,” said Pivot Cycles President and CEO, Chris Cocalis. With the new updates, the 2017 Pivot Vault feels complete implementing the flat mount system front and rear while also using 12mm thru axles on both too. The new Vault is available as a complete bike with Shimano Ultegra and Stan’s Grail wheels for $3,999 USD. It is also available as a frameset and is available immediately, in all sizes, at key Pivot Dealers worldwide.
