Australian Caleb Ewan started his season off by winning a sprint finish on the first stage of the Saudi Tour which got underway on Tuesday. The 27-year-old Lotto rider finished just ahead of Estonia’s Martin Laas with Colombian Fernando Gaviria third in the same time after the 123 mile run which started and finished at Winter Park. Wednesday’s second stage of five this week covers 102 miles from Al-Ula to Abu Rakah.
