BikeExchange’s new recruit Dylan Groenewegen notched his first victory of the year on stage 3 of the Saudi Tour. High winds swept across the peloton throughout most of the stage creating echelons across the desert. In the final miles Groenewegen’s BikeExchange team executed a precision leadout to deliver the 28-year-old to the line ahead of Dan McLay and Caleb Ewan. Bahrain Victorious rider Santiago Buitrago leads the race by 3 seconds ahead of Caleb Ewan. Two stages remain with riders expecting a shakeup in the overall standings on the grueling climb in the final 15 miles of stage 4.
