Team Colombia Coldeportes’ Wilier Zero 7

(Press Release)

Team Colombia-Coldeportes’ climbers will soon  discover Wilier Triestina’s new Zero.7 the lightest racing model ever made by Wilier Triestina.

Lightweight, aerodynamic and stiff, ideal to enhance the performance of climbers like the Colombian Escarabajos: Wilier Zero.7 is the lightest racing model ever made by Wilier Triestina. With the frame’s weight reduced to less than 800 grams, Zero.7 will be an important asset for Claudio Corti’s team in their third season of collaboration with the company based in Rossano Veneto (Northern Italy).

Wilier Zero.7 was renewed not only in its graphic, inspired by the Colombian flag’s colors: Wilier Triestina’s engineers studied a new positioning of the top and down tubes that creates a virtual increase in the length of the head tube, generating a more performing aerodynamic profile. In addition, the  new design also gives an improved aesthetic to the front end, characterized by simple and harmonious lines.

Stiffness does not always match with comfort, but thanks to S.E.I. Film (Special Elastic Infiltrated), an exclusive viscoelastic material interposed between the carbon meshes, Zero.7 improves vibration absorption for a special mix without compromises. The 27.2 mm seatpost and seat stays add to Zero.7’s comfort and absorption of vertical stress, without wasting the muscle power applied to the pedals.

“I like the new Zero.7 a lot – Carlos Julian Quintero commented after debuting with the new bike at the Tour de San Luis, – I was impressed by its superior stiffness and handling. Moreover, having been in the breakaway with it, I could test its excellent aerodynamic performance: hopefully, new Zero.7 will lead to a number of valuable results throughout the season.”
