The Belgian Waffle Ride Is On

So far so good for Cedar City, Utah to host the event

Press Release

We hope this missive finds you healthy and that you had a wonderful Labor Day and got out for a ride! We have been busy working with our partners, local health officials and city managers, organizing best practices and adjusting formats for our upcoming event in the Canyon Belgian Waffle Ride Cedar City, which is planned for October 17, 2020. Things are looking even better than our last update and as a result we are opening up the Eliel BWR Cedar City store…

Monuments of Cycling has partnered with Eliel Cycling to deliver the most vibrant and exciting merchandise collection for the BWR and Tripel Crown of Gravel. We think you will be delighted by the fresh new kit designs we’ve conjured up for Cedar City and the various BWR merchandise we have created.

The Cedar City officials are excited to host riders to our special event in their town on October 17. We are all optimistic for a few reasons, including the numbers for this event being much smaller and more manageable. We are working on our own plans to create a safe and memorable event for all, which include a variety of safety measures…

Face coverings will be mandated at registration and at the start/finish line. We will publish all the safety information in the coming weeks.

There will be six Feed Zones for the Waffle and four for the Wafer. There will be individually wrapped provisions at each stop and self-serve water and SIS replenishment with staff on had to clean and sanitize. With the course nearly permitted, we can now recommend 36mm tires or wider. IRC Tire has a wide array of BWR specific tires.

We will announce the final routes very soon!
