While the Spring Classics were just beginning to kick-off over in Europe, here in the States, or more specifically, SoCal the domestic scene was fired for a spate of racing starting with the San Dimas Stage Race before heading into the Redland’s Classic.
No matter how many of the top riders who showed-up, the SDSR ran for 18 years and always had a welcoming small-town vibe to it. From the uphill time-trial on the famous Glendora Mountain Road climb to the downtown crit, local riders would always get a thrill seeing all the fast men and women on their local roads.
