Stage 5 – 183 km (113 miles) – Flat

The journey through Provence will take the riders on the lands of olive trees as they go past Nyons and then to the kingdom of “nougat” in the city of Montélimar. But once in the Rhone Valley, the cycling specialty really is the bunched sprint. At the end of an uphill false-flat road on several kilometres, the one in Privas will concern the finest of specialists. – Christian Prudhomme

Rolling down from Gap the peloton heads toward the farm roads of the Ardeche.

FINAL 5 KILOMETERS

A few risers in the final kilometers will keep the riders together but the true sprinters will be hurting. Top 3 stage winner picks: Sagan, Ewan, Degenkolb.
