As the professional cycling world prepares for the the 2019 Yorkshire world championships this weekend, the UCI took a look back at Peter Sagan’s first world championship win in Richmond in 2015. The Slovakian charged ahead over the final climbs and hung on at the finish to win the men’s road race. The 25-year-old completed the 162.4 mile course in 6:14:37 to defeat Australian Michael Matthews by three seconds with Lithuania’s Ramunas Navardauskas third.
