Video: Belgian Classic’s Opening Weekend

The Belgian classic’s have officially kicked off with this past weekend having Omloop Het Nieuwsblad Saturday and the following day Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne. It was a frigid weekend in Belgium with temperatures just above freezing but clear skies were on hand to offer a great weekend of racing.

Michael Valgren of Astana attacked late in the final kilometer’s of Omloop at the right time to catch the reduced peloton off guard and was able to solo in for victory to keep up the current success which Astana has seen so far this season.

Dylan Groenewegen of LottoNL – Jumbo sprinted to the victory during Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne on Sunday just passing the breakaway riders in the process in the final kilometer.
