WATCH: MARTHA GILL SHREDS GRAVEL WITH PNW

Don't we all wish we could ride with this much confidence?

PNW loves that gravel bikes land at the cross-section of mountain and road, taking the best of both
worlds, and allowing the freedom to explore new terrain in different ways. PNW Ambassador,
Martha Gill, outfitted her gravel rig with a full suite of products and put it through its paces in the UK
Lake District to show just how capable gravel bikes can be when you have the right components to
unlock their full potential. While not for everyone, we all wish we could shred like Martha.

THE RAINIER 27.2 DROPPER

PNW pushed the limits of their previous generation Rainier 27.2 so riders can push their own. Martha Gill proves the formula by showing what you can do with a gravel bike when the upgraded Rainier 27.2 Gen 3 joins the ride. With 125mm of travel and the addition of a Tool-Less Travel Adjust system to further fine-tune the post, equipment is no longer the limiting factor in what riders can do on their gravel bike.

THE COAST SUSPENSION DROPPER

For people wanting to get really weird on their gravel bike, PNW designed the Coast Post, which combines the benefits of a dropper with the joint saving squish of suspension. The witchcraft all happens via a dual-chamber hydraulic cartridge featuring 40mm of tunable air suspension intended to take the bite out of bigger impacts before they get to your trusty glutes and lower back. Add to that the full functionality of a traditional dropper post, and you have the ultimate gravel ride upgrade.

THE COAST HANDLEBAR

At PNW Components, most started on mountain bikes, so it’s no surprise they brought that mentality to drop bar gravel bikes. Enter the Coast Handlebar. Extra wide options with a healthy dose of flair ensures you have plenty of control when things get zesty. If Martha’s riding is any indication, the Coast Handlebar is quite capable no matter what you throw at it.

THE COAST STEM

The Coast Stem is one of the lightest stems available, keeping company with products four times its price. Pair this with the Coast Handlebar and it’s a match made in heaven. PNW suggests putting a shorter stem length than you might think when increasing your handlebar width. The Coast Stem is also perfectly at home on an XC bike, too.
