Classics season is here! Omloop Het Nieuwsblad started off the  Spring Classics with a win going to Zdenek Stybar and the Quick Step squad. The following day at KBK Bob Jungels looked to dominate the weekend for the wolf pack.

After clearing 140 of the 200 kilometers, Bob Jungels attacked out of the peloton. Only 4 others were able to make the move with the rider from Luxembourg.
The peloton attempted to organize behing the leaders, but the Quick Step team were quick to respond in aid of Jungels.

With 16 kilometers to go Jungels attacked the break. The gap to the peloton hovered at 40 second with help of the wolfpack in the bunch, Jungels entered the final circuit of Kuurne solo.

The peloton had Jungels in their sight in the final meters, but the valiant effort paid off with more than just a victory. KBK 2019 supplanted a legacy for Jungels, after finishing Omloop in the top 20 the previous day, he added another classic to his palmares alongside his 2018 victory at Liege-Bastogne-Liege.
