White Industries has announced that their costs have risen enough thanks to recent tariffs that they are passing along the fees. They are adding a 4% surcharge to all orders instead of raising the products price. This is in hopes that the market will stabilize and they can remove the added expense. While White Industries only uses and relies on US made aluminum, steel, and titanium, they have still seen an increase of over 28% in the raw material.
We have always questioned the cycling industries value relative to pricing. Here at the office where we also have four motorsports magazines and many of our test bikes exceed the cost of their machines, it is always a joke for those editors to ask “how much and where is the motor?”
We would love to hear your thoughts on the topic so email them to [email protected] or comment on our Facebook post.
