That Cannondale is releasing a 750-gram frame is great news. However, what takes a bite out the news is that it’s limited edition release with only 200 frames being sold. How a sub-800 gram frame would ride is well remembered buy some RBA old-timers who were lucky enough to throw a leg over both the 2011 Cannondale Evo that rolled at a feather-like light 14.3 pounds, and the Nano Evo Black production bike that hit the scales at just over 16-pounds back in 2013 with a 718-grame frame.
Cannondale definitely knows how to build a lightweight frame and all that nostalgia aside, Cannondale’s new Leichtbau is a sight to behold and at $5200 the 200 frames (available in four sizes) being sold should be snapped up quickly.
