In recent years, Kali Protectives, a company founded by an aerospace engineer and bike industry veteran, has become a major player in the mountain bike helmet market thanks to innovative safety technologies and unique aesthetics and graphics. At last year’s PressCamp, Kali unveiled the brand’s first-ever road helmet, the Maraka. This year, Kali opted to show off some new road wares again at PressCamp. Except this time, they brought two new road lids to the party. Check out the video below for more information on Kali’s two new road helmets, the Loka and the Phenom.
The Phenom will retail for $149 when it gets released in about three months time and it includes all of the same technological innovations as Kali’s high-end Maraka model. These include a visco-elastomer foam padding called BumperFit that helps protect the rider against low-G impacts, as well as the company’s signature Conehead EPS foam technology.
The Loka also features plenty of Kali technologies but will retail for a mere $99. Like all of Kali’s road helmets, the Loka will be available in three sizes and a variety of colors.
The Loka (left) and the Phenom both feature plenty of large ventilation and exhaust ports designed to optimize airflow and keep your head cool.
