Today Stages Cycling has started shipping their newest addition to the line, Power LR. Many are familiar with their left only power offerings that have been vital in getting power more mainstream and affordable. With the release of their LR, customers can now benefit from total power but even better true balance as each arm houses a meter.
To make things even better they are also offering right side only meters as well. This is for two reasons, first is while rare there are a few frames that could not use their left arm for clearance issues. With the new right only it would fill that void and allow compatibility for any frame that can fit a Shimano 9100 or 8000 series crank. Second is for those that have already invested in their left only meter, now you can add right for a total power system same as LR.
Stages still offer their full line of left only meters and stand behind their accuracy and performance. This transition to dual power is just another level of accuracy that many cyclists and coaches desire. To also further enhance the Stages power experience they recommend their Dash cycling computer and Link system so click here to see what we thought of it.
Things to note are that if you purchase the Dura-Ace 9100 LR crankset it comes with chainrings and is $100 less than purchasing the left and right separately. Then on the Ultegra 8000 version, it’s $230 less to get the LR complete over individual and that’s not even factoring in rings. Stages have also upgraded and updated the hardware on these units for an improved accelerometer with an addition of gyroscope for better cadence accuracy as well as upgraded BLE and ANT+ radios offering 6X improvement of data transmission strength.
