As the 2022 cycling season approaches its end, the Veneto Classic welcomes riders to 118 miles of racing with 9500ft of elevation gain from Treviso to Bassano del Grappa. The Veneto region is made up of rolling hills and is home to a number of legacy cycling brands like Campagnolo and Selle Royal. 20 teams are attending including WorldTour pros like UAE’s Diego Ulissi and Matteo Trentin as well as 30-year veteran Davide Rebellin.

Race organizer and former pro Filippo Pozzato put together an exciting course that includes three unique climbs around Bassano del Grappa that feature paved, cobbled and gravel roads. First the riders will face the gradual 6.5-percents slopes of La Rosina three times on the road. Next the riders head to three loops of La Tisa with its quarter mile of cobbles at over 15-percent. The narrow road will likely be a deciding factor in the race before the riders face the final challenge Pozzato planned. 1.3 miles of gravel will animate the last lap of the race as the riders visit the grounds of the privately owned Diesel Farm before returning to Bassano del Grappa for the finish.
