Getting the inside scoop on the new stand at SBT GRVL

Feedback has been our go-to repair stand for a number of years now. The new Pro Mechanic HD has implemented years of consumer feedback for a much-improved product. This is not to degrade our thoughts on the Elite Pro, but the HD is next level. For us, the extended head and stronger jaws are sweet. The stiffer and oversized aluminum tubes still have the iconic red anodization. While the two we got to check out are technically prototypes, the final versions will be available for $495 starting in mid to late September.

Folded or extended, the new HD stand has loads of upgrades. Our favorite is the new closure and extended head.

The overall stiffness has been improved with a larger diameter and wider foot base. The weight has also increased, but it is still extremely portable.

The new head has a magnetic tool holder for even quicker tool swaps.

The new clamp jaws can also be retrofitted to an older rack.
