Irwin Cycling enters the US market with a new line of carbon road tubeless ready wheelsets the AON TLR. The wide-profile wheelset features 26mm external and 18mm internal widths and comes in three profiles – 38mm, 58mm and 85mm. Every wheelset is hand built with Sapim CX-Ray spokes and laced to rapid engagement 6-pawl hub with ceramic bearings.
“We are excited to be in the US to launch Irwin Cycling. We have had success in other parts of the world and look forward to showing our line to the US market,” said president, Eric Chen. “Tubeless ready road wheels are here to stay and we are confident our AON TLR series can go head-to-head with what’s out there today for road, CX and gravel.”
Color options are silver or stealth graphics. Disc brake option is offered in the 38mm profile. Every Irwin model goes through a rigorous 5-point testing protocol in their in-house testing facility. The wheels have external nipples for easy maintenance without removing the tire. AON TLR models are shipped with pre-installed tubeless rim tape, skewers, bespoke brake pads and alloy tubeless valve stems. Retail prices range from $1600-$1800.
